My "flagship" website, for traditional rug hooking outfit New Earth Designs, took over 80 hours to build. It features over 400 images detailing only part of an extensive catalog which is managed by this one-woman (and one-cat!) company.

Since New Earth Designs sells dyed wool in a wide variety of colours, the accuracy of that wool was extremely important to show. The colours of the rug photos -- which portray finished versions of the patterns for sale -- needed mostly neutral, earthy tones to ground them, so this site uses mostly neutral or muted colours in its theme.

This website showcases the fashion jewelry that is designed and meticulously hand-crafted by Chris, an ex-military man and geek extraordinaire.

This site uses two blogs: one Wordpress blog for updates and news (the usual blog stuff) and another Wordpress blog powers the site's store and uses PayPal, but it is all blended into a nice, cohesive theme. Using Wordpress to publish the jewelry store items allows Chris to publish his stuff from anywhere, update the photos easily, and quickly remove a piece that has been sold. Wordpress also keeps the MiaBellaRoba.com store organized by using the blog Categories.
